<br>NUSA DUA, Indonesia, Nov 8 (Reuters) - Indonesia's palm oil output is forecast to recuperate in 2025 after an expected drop this year, but rates are expected to stay elevated due to planned expansion of the nation's [biodiesel](https://www.investing.com/equities/mission-newenergy-ltd-company-profile) required, market analysts said.<br>
<br>The palm oil criteria price in [Malaysia](https://www.pinterest.com.au/missionnewenergy/) has risen more than 35% this year, lifted by sluggish output and Indonesia's plan to increase the compulsory domestic [biodiesel](https://biodieselmagazine.com/articles/felda-global-buys-missions-kuantan-port-plant-for-11-5-million-9053) blend to 40% in January from 35% now in an effort to reduce fuel imports.<br>

<br>Thomas Mielke, head of Hamburg-based research study company Oil World, stated he expects Indonesia's [palm oil](https://www.pinterest.com.au/missionnewenergy/) production to [increase](https://www.intelligentinvestor.com.au/shares/asx-mbt/mission-newenergy-limited/share-price) by as much as 2 million lots next year after a 2.5 million ton drop in 2024.<br>
<br>While Indonesia's output is [anticipated](https://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/159352/mission-newenergy-debt-free-focused-on-biofuel-joint-venture-60797.html) to enhance, supply from in other places and of other veggie oils is seen tightening.<br>
<br>[Palm oil](https://www.zoominfo.com/c/mission-newenergy/346542889) output in neighbouring Malaysia is anticipated to dip a little next year after [increasing](https://forest500.org/rankings/companies/mission-newenergy-limited) by an [approximated](https://www.proactiveinvestors.com.au/ASX:MBT/Mission-NewEnergy-Ltd) 1 million tons in 2024.<br>

<br>'FRIGHTENING' PRICE SURGE<br>
<br>The cost surge in palm oil in the previous seven weeks has been "frightening" for purchasers, Mielke stated, including that it would rally by 10%-15% in January-March if Indonesia imposes the so-called B40 policy.<br>
<br>The Indonesia Palm Oil Association stated extra feedstock of around 3 million tons will be required for B40 implementation, eroding export supply.<br>
<br>The [current palm](https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/mission-newenergy) oil premium has currently caused palm to lose market share against other oils, Mielke added.<br>
<br>Malaysian palm oil rates are seen trading at around $950 to $1,050 per metric load in 2025, McGill of Glenauk estimated.<br>
<br>Benchmark Malaysian palm oil touched 5,104 ringgit ($1,165.30) on Friday, the greatest given that mid-2022.<br>
<br>"Sentiment today is red-hot and extremely bullish, we need to be mindful," stated Dorab Mistry, director at Indian durable goods business Godrej International.<br>
<br>He forecast the Malaysian rate around 5,000 ringgit and above until June 2025.<br>
